PART II CITIZENSHIP Citizenship at the commencement of the Constitution. 5. At the commencement of this Constitution, every person who has his domicile in the territory of India and— (a) who was born in the territory of India; or (b) either of whose parents was born in the territory of India; or (c) who has been ordinarily resident in the territory of India for not less than five years immediately preceding such commencement, shall be a citizen of India.

The constitution Of India PREAMBLE WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a[SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC] and to secure to all its citizens : JUSTICE, social, economic and political ; LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship ; EQUALITY of status and of opportunity ; And to promote among them all FRATERNITY assuring the divinity of the individual and the [unity and integrity of the Nation] IN OUR CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY this twenty-six the day of November, 1949,do HEREBY ADOPT, ENACT AND GIVE TO OURSELVES THIS CONSTITUTION.

Article 30

Right of minorities to establish and administer educational institutions. Article 30.
